Scheveningen is just a few kilometers North of The Hague on the North Sea. It has a very nice beach. Lots of sand, restaurants, and food stands. I was told it is a very popular spot for the Dutch. It was too cold to swim but there were still people using the beach. Surfing is big here. There is a surfing school on the beach. There was more than one of these huge sand sculptures on the beach. There was a big collection of these sculptures. This one is holding the water back with his finger. If you twist his ear, water comes out the other ear to make a drinking fountain.
